Julius Caesar

Cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of war!

– Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare

In August 2013, The Two Gentlemen of Vancouver presented a prehistoric and bloody production of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare. The production explored the depths of passion and thirst for blood in an uncivilized society where nothing is left sacred or untouched. The show was a deathly riot with CJ McGillivray portraying the fiercely devoted and emotionally damaged Portia opposite her longtime collaborator Aaron Paul Stewart as Brutus.

Aaron Stewart as Marcus Brutus, CJ McGillivray as Portia, Brittany Mrsic as Julius Caesar, Andressa Ester as Caius Cassius and Chirag Naik as Marc Antony with ensemble members Crystal Weltzin, Carlen Escarraga, Allie Melchert, Phil Wang, Beni Spieler, Marco Pennino and Howard Dai

Directed by Julian Legere and produced by Charlie Black with costumes by Heaven Black, fight direction by Crystal Weltzin and Brittany Mrsic; and stage management by Keegan Flick-Parker.
